Another month means another home project! First, let’s recap and see what I did last month.
My project for January was to clear out the big guest bedroom in our house. Remember this?
It was crammed with stuff that needed to be put away in its proper location. There was also a lot of stuff in there that needed to be donated or just plain thrown away too. I was able to get MOST of the stuff cleared out.
1. The elliptical is still in this room because this room is going to eventually be the work out room. Why can’t ellipticals come in pretty colors and be a piece of artwork!? On the plus side, the legs are down meaning that I’ve actually started using it again. Go me!
2. That’s a touch lamp that I got at an estate sale for $5. I know it’s pretty hideous right now but I just love that it’s a touch lamp. It’s a project for another time, but I promise it will look amazing when I’m done with it. (The Hubs HATES it. Ha!)
Doesn’t the corner where number 3 is look so much better?! No more Christmas bins and random things everywhere! All of those boxes are actually trash too so once that hits the dump that area will be clear-o!
4. That’s the extra TV we now have since we finally got the big TV downstairs. I kind of like the idea of putting a TV in the master bedroom, but at the same time I like not having one in there. What to do?!
So this picture is why I say MOSTLY done. I just don’t know what to do with that stuff! All three pieces are being used, but they don’t look good there. Number 4 houses a lot of my craft stuff so I can’t completely empty it and get rid of it. I think I’m going to carve out a space in the closet for it so that it can be out of sight. The dresser in the middle is actually a really nice piece and I’m thinking about moving it into the master closet. And that last cabinet, I just don’t know. Hubs uses it for his hunting stuff but it’s kind of an eye sore. =[ I’ll figure something out.
So this post was supposed to be about my February project right? Let’s get to that.
I am really dreading this project. I do NOT want to do it, but it needs to be done.
Removing this stinking wall paper border. UGGGHHHH. I will do it! I will do it! I will do it! I know it doesn’t sound like something that will take me a whole month but I’m sure just mustering the gusto to do it will be time consuming. Plus, there’s actually another border that lines the ceiling that you can’t see because the previous homeowners PAINTED OVER THE BORDER. Grrrr. I just don’t feel right leaving it there. Especially when you can see the paint line from where the border meets the wall. GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRR.
The thing that REALLY stinks about the sports ball border is…
…it’s really more of a sticker than wallpaper and it clearly does not want to come off.
WISH ME LUCK!! I’m going to need it. *SIGH*
